Porphyry sorting hopper

This is the largest system specifically designed for the sorting of porphyry ever built in Italy’s Trentino Region.

 Fully-integrated componentry and over 120 meters of conveyor belt let the system handle blocks without requiring transport vehicles. Complete roofing lets workers work in any weather at all for higher output with lower maintenance!

System:

• Composed of 6 hoppers with Hardox lining.
• Each hopper uses an 8 m long rubber conveyor belt for workpiece sorting.
• A 57 m long underground rubber conveyor belt carries off the scrap.
• Another rubber conveyor belt piles up the scrap in a single location.

Operation:

The material to be sorted is unloaded from the trucks directly into the hopper. The hopper bin with vibrating bottom shakes and distributes the material correctly over an 8 m long conveyor belt where the operator chooses the pieces to be worked. The scrap is sent to an underground rubber conveyor belt 57 meters long that carries the scrap outside the line to where a final conveyor belt 18 meters long belt piles it up in a single location.
